This led to completing a BA in International Affairs from Northeastern University, and an MA in International Affairs from Boston University. When she found yoga, or rather yoga found her, she realized through yoga she could lead a meaningful calling in the world. In a time when she was uncertain about her true path, yoga through the Iyengar family, has always been a guiding force. Yoga Education Amita is a Certified Iyengar Yoga Teacher, Introductory II. Amita treated us as individuals, meeting our personal best. My posture is better and takes less energy to walk around! I feel stronger and range of motion and balanced has increased. It has been a fabulous experience! ~ Margy
I am overwhelmed by the sensitivity and compassion of Amita! She encourages us to grow despite our limitations. I am more flexible, stronger and walk with a straighter spine! It is great how she modified poses for us so we were able to follow through on our own ability!~ DG
I have attended Yoga classes at other places before and was either not challenged or bored. With Amita, I felt just enough challenge and very engaged here! It is very comforting to practice Yoga at my own level. As for my body, my hips and knees do not hurt like they use to ! Thank you! ~ Sara
